Effect of temperature on the growth of winter jujube seedlings

yongcheng jujube planting co. LTD Views:
Temperature is one of the main factors affecting the growth and development of winter jujube seedlings, which affects the distribution of winter jujube seedlings. Winter jujube seedlings are a kind of thermophilic tree species that require higher temperatures for growth and development. It is reflected in early sprouting and late leaves. When the temperature in spring rises to 13~15oC, the jujube buds begin to germinate. At 17~18oC, the branches are spread, and the leaves and flower buds are differentiated. At 19oC, the buds are present. The average daily temperature reaches about 20oC and enters the initial flowering stage, and 22~25oC enters the full bloom period. The suitable temperature for pollen germination is 24 ~ 26oC, below 20oC or higher than 38oC, the germination rate is significantly reduced. The root growth of winter jujube seedlings is earlier than that on the ground. The roots of winter jujube seedlings begin to move at a soil temperature of 7 to 9oC, grow slowly at 10-20oC, and enter a prolonged period of 22 to 25o. The soil temperature drops below 21oC and grows slowly until it stops. The winter jujube seedlings have strong adaptability to temperature. The lowest temperature in winter is not lower than -31oC. The average daily temperature in the flowering period is stable above 22oC. During the fruit growth period from flower to autumn, the average daily temperature drops to more than 100-120 days before 16oC. The area can grow normally. Therefore, the temperature during flowering and fruit growth is an important limiting factor for the planting of winter jujube. The suitable temperature for fruit ripening is 18-22oC. When the autumn temperature drops to 15oC, the leaves turn yellow and begin to fall off, until the first frost period. When entering the dormant period, the winter jujube seedlings have strong tolerance to low temperature and high temperature, and can safely overwinter at -30o.
