The soil water storage capacity is related to the agglomerate structure in the soil. A granule structure is a small reservoir. The agglomerate structure in the soil forms the soil organic matter. The more soil organic matter, the more agglomerate structure is formed, the stronger the water retention capacity of the soil. Adding organic fertilizer can increase the organic matter in the soil and increase the agglomerate structure of the soil. Therefore, the organic fertilizer is added through deep turning every year to improve the soil structure and increase the water capacity of the soil. According to Wang Binrui of Beijing Forestry University, the application of 10 kg of manure in each tree hole can increase the soil aggregate content by 9%-29%, and the soil water content in spring increases by 15.6%-28.9%.
